The Fellowship of the Ring is the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The story takes place after the events of “The Hobbit” where Bilbo Baggins is planning on leaving The Shire to retire. He is leaving everything to his Oldest nephew Frodo Baggins including his precious magic ring that he found on one of his adventures. However it turns out that this ring was a powerful ring made by the dark lord and Frodo must go on a quest to destroy it. The Genre of this book is fantasy. The main characters are Bilbo Baggins, Frodo Baggins, Sam, Gandalf, Merry, and Pippin. The setting of the story changes but a lot of it takes place in a place in Middle earth called The Shire. The shire is a lush green place with rolling hills and most of its inhabitants are a species known as Hobbits. Hobbits are like halflings but with leathery and hairy feet. I would rate this book a five out of five.
As is said in the introduction The genre is fantasy. I believe this because dragons, magical rings, goblins, wizards and orcs are creatures that appear to exist in this book. More evidence is that there are species in the book such as dwarves and elves that live hundreds or thousands of years. My final reason to prove that the genre of this book is fantasy is that the place that all of this takes place is not earth. The story takes place in a land known as Middle earth, and middle earth does not follow earth’s geography in the slightest.
The Fellowship of the Ring has many wonderful characters. However, my favorite of them all is Gandalf. I think I prefer Gandalf to the other characters because he has a mysterious vibe. He always seems to show up and leave with little to no explanation. This Gives the reader something to wonder about. In my opinion if the reader does not know everything that happened it allows the reader to fill in the gaps of the story how they want it to happen. This makes the story much more enjoyable.
The setting of the book is almost constantly shifting. However I can give an overall setting. The overall setting is in a place called Middle Earth where there are different nations and lands such as Gondor, Morador, The Shire, and many more, Since I cannot give a description on all of the nations I will give a description on these three. Gondor is a large city that has long kept the Orc army of Morador at bay. The Shire is a beautiful land of grass, trees, and other foliage, Most of its inhabitants are Hobbits. Unlike the other two Morador is a fiery valley of flames and death it is home to the orc army and the dark lord.
I would recommend this book to a lot of people but one person who I think would enjoy it most is my friend Dane. My friend Dane loves books and this is a really good one. The reason I gave this book a five out of five is that it is a really good book. It meets all the requirements on what makes a book good. It uses words that are not complex nor words a book of a toddler would use. It also leaves minor gaps in the story that leave the reader wondering this can create good conversation topics and allows the reader to imagine their own story to fill in the gaps. Finally it has a basic story, this may seem like a bad thing but it is reliable and leaves no room for failure. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and a good story.

The Fellowship of the Ring
This book called The Fellowship of the Ring is a calm story at the start of the book and gets very intense. The main characters of this book are, Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Gandalf, Bilbo Baggins, Tom Bombadil, Aragorn, Glorfindel, Elrond, Boromir, Sauron, Gollum, Legolas, Galadriel, Saruman, Arwen, The Witch king of Angmar, Radagast, Watcher in the Water, Fredegar Bolger, and Harry Goatleaf. The book The Fellowship of the Ring started in a hobbit hole in the ground. I rated this book a 5/5. The reason I rated this book fully was because It is just an amazing book.
The genre of this book called The Fellowship of the Ring is Fantasy/Fiction. The reason this book is Fantasy/Fiction is because there are no mythical creatures in the real world such as orcs, goblins, water beasts, dragons, and many more monsters and different types of peoples such as elves, dwarves, and halflings called hobbits. A couple more reasons that this book is Fantasy/Fiction is because of how the world of Middle Earth was created and how magic was able to be used and how some creatures are immortal. A couple of creatures from the book were NonFiction though. The creatures that are NonFiction are the world of man, animals, and other creatures that live in the world today.
My favorite character from the book was Gandalf. The reason why is because if he can fight a Balrog and come back to life, or come so close to defeating Sauron on his own and casting out spirits I think that is a great reason why he is my favorite character in the book. Another reason why Gandalf is my favorite character in the book is because he has such great courage and will do anything to keep his friends safe by putting them before himself. I also find Gandalf very powerful and brave. I find that me and Gandalf are very similar because I do what he does when in a similar situation he is in.
The start of The Fellowship of the Ring started in a hobbit hole in the ground around summer time duing when the sun is out. The Author of this story was J.R.R. Toliken. The author of the book created an amazing picture in my mind that I felt that the story was happening right before my eyes. The author of this book knew what he was writing about when he made the story. This book was incredibly made.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, lore, action, and adventure. Preaveoisly as you heard I scored this book a 5/5. I did this because this book deserves it. The action and adventure is what mainly caught my attention. This book was Awsome!
