The Hobbit was a 3 of 5 stars from me because I don’t really like all of the storyline. I don’t understand most of the book. The whole book was kind of boring, the only good part is they just climb around a mountain for a page then get pulled into a goblin fortress. I don’t think that it is the best book for anyone who likes books that are peaceful. They are lost in a forest for a very big chunk of the book, then almost all of them get caught and are in prison.
They are climbing around a mountain and they are very tired. So they find a cave to sleep in and they get kidnapped by goblins. The Dwarfs help him escape and then they are attacked. He falls so he hides then he finds someone named Golum. He escapes with a ring and gets back to the Dwarfs and they continue.
They got lost in a forest because they all decided to leave a road they were told not to leave. They were attacked by spiders that hung them upside down. So they would pass out so he slipped the ring on his finger and sprinted out to fight them with his sword. Then realized they could not see him so he called out to taunt them so he could free his friends.
Right after that the elves come and take them, prisoner, all except for Bilbo Baggins so he followed them and planned to help them. He was stuck there for a very long time eating what he could. He was so lost he thought it was over then they were moving empty barrels for a bit so they got into barrels and floated away.

The book I read was The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. The genre of this book was mainly medevil fantasy. I gave this book a 5 out of 5. I loved this book! The book started with Bilbo Baggens, Thorin, Kili, Fili, Dwalin, Balin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofer, and Bomber and a wizard named Gandalf the Gray.
The genre of this book is fiction and medevil fantacy. I know this because there are a lot of medevil structures, war, armor, and wepons. Mythical creatures in the book are orcs, goblins, huge spiders, goblins, elves, dwarves, hobbits, and dragons which are not real.
My favorite character from the book was Bilbo Baggens. The reason I like this character somuch is because he is very similar to me. I do the same things when I was in the situation he was in. Such as inviting Gandalf to tea or not telling a dragon what your name really is.
The setting of the book was very smooth. It started inside a Hobbit hole during the morning. The author gave me a very great picture in my mind of what was happening. The reason why is because the author made it so clear in my mind that it made me feel like I was in the book. The setting affects the plot because if the dwarves that came to Bilbos house didn't come that would mean Bilbo would not have gone on this great adventure.
I would recommend this book to those who love reading books with friendship, action, adventure, clear picture in their mind, and also war. I scored this book a 5 out of 5 because I loved the action and adventure.

The Hobbit was a good book whether it was Bilbo having a good day in his hobbit hole or him talking to a dragon while invisible. My overall rating of the book was a 4. The genre was medieval fantasy. The main characters were many they were hard to keep track of, they consisted of Bilbo, Gandelf, Thorin, Kili, Fili, Dwalin, Balin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofer, and Bomber.
The genre of my book is medieval fantasy fiction. My evidence is the fact that goblins, orcs, elves, rock giants, AND DRAGONS, DON'T EXIST. My book has fairies, dragons etc . That's how I know it's medieval fantasy.
Bilbo is by far my favorite character. My reasoning is that his actions were close to what I would probably do in the situations he was in. Another reason is he is rather funny during his tangle with the spiders. He sang an insulting song to lead them away from his friends and it was hilarious.
I can't really tell you a setting as in the story the setting is always changing but I can tell you the writer did an amazing job painting a picture of the surroundings perfectly it felt as if I had been and seen the places the characters venture through.
I would definitely recommend this book to a friend as the book is very descriptive and paints a picture in your mind whether you are experiencing the horror or the beauty. It is one of the best books I have read.
