I Know Your Secret is about four 7th graders that are getting blackmailed. The blackmailer will give them special tasks to do in their school everyday. If the kids don’t do the tasks the blackmailer will spill their biggest secret. The genre of the book is mystery/ suspense. The main characters are Gemma, Todd, Owen, and Ally. Most of the time the setting is in Snow Valley Middle and High. I would rate this book a five star rating.

The genre of this book is mystery/ suspense. The book is fiction. I know that it's fiction because it's not that likely for someone to get blackmailed. Also you don’t really go around your school skipping class, and doing weird assignments from a blackmailer. And you don’t have these really big secrets that if your secret gets out it will affect your whole life till you die.

In the book Owen is my favorite. He is my favorite because he talks way too much which is a lot like me. Also is funny and is super dumb most of the time. But once you become friends with him he is nice and protective. Owen looks out for his friends and helps with the tasks. Because Owen and Todd had to go into a group just the two of them and Owen called the front desk while Todd looked out the door that goes into the classroom.

The setting of the story is in Snow Valley Middle and High School. There is not really a time of year and month, but the story tells you what time of day and which day of the week it is. The author gave many details about the setting in the story. Like where everything was and what the hallways looked like. Also she gave a detail like what he whole day was like, it was Explorers Day. Then the author gave a detail about the hallway with anti bullying posters everywhere.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read mystery and suspense. Also to people who like a little bit of drama. Why I would recommend this book to people who like mystery and suspense is because you want to know the kids' secrets and who the blackmailer is. But for the people who like a little mix of drama in there is because Gemma has a fight with Ally (can’t say why). The reason I gave this book a five star rating is because you always want to know what happens next, what the secrets are that could change their lives, and who is this mysterious blackmailer.
