This was an interesting book about a girl that had a hundred dresses but nobody believed her and people would make fun of her. This was a fiction book. This book is a classic book and it was written in 1994.They live in a small town and they are mostly in school. The characters of the book were Peggy, Maddie, Jake and the main character was Wanda Petronski. I Rate this book a 4 out of 5.

This book is a true story about a poor Polish-American girl named Wanda who didn't have that many friends. KIds would make fun of her because she had a funny last name and she wore the same dress every day. Her classmates were so mean to her that she and her family had to move to a different town. Her mother died when she was young. It was hard for her family because her dad had to work hard to provide money and food.

I can't pick a favorite character because I like all of them in different ways. I like Peggy because she is sassy and has her own expectations but also at the end of the story she realizes she was wrong for treating Wanda the way she did. I like Maddie because even though she would make fun of Wanda to she new it was wrong and felt bad and didn't want to make fun of her anymore but she didn't want to loose her best friend at the end she knew in her heart that if anyone made fun of someone she would stop them and help the other person. I liked Wanda because even though she didn't have any friends and people made fun of her she tried to let that not get to her and she was shy and didn't talk much to people and never let anyone ever doubt her about not having one hundred dresses.

The place was mostly at school; her school was in Connecticut and Wanda lived in Boggins Heights and it was summertime. The feeling I got in the book was that her school was not that big and it was an older school. I visualized that there were mostly only girls in the school because mainly all the characters in the book were girls. When school aged girls are in groups there is mostly drama that is one way that the setting affects the plot.

I would recommend this book to my friend Yuliya. I know her style and I think she would like this book. I scored a 4 out of 5 because it was interesting, but I think it could have more to the story and the ending. I wish there was a sequel so I can see what happened next.
