I’m gonna be honest, I love this book. It starts off by telling you the Harry Potter universe definition of “beast”, after that it goes really in depth with all of the beasts like a dragon or a griffin you know stuff like that. Some of the beasts are labeled dangerous out of respect. And some other beasts could’ve been but refused to be classified as a “being”. It really is that great of a book that's why it deserves a 5 star rating.
This book definitely fits in the Fantasy genre because it tells you about all these mythical creatures and there’s wizards and stuff too. I mean it is a Harry Potter book. This book is also incredibly good at explaining everything. Even all the magic. It’s obvious at this point but I’ll say it again, I love this book.
My favorite beast in the book is most likely the dragons, the reason I like it is that there are several dragon species. My favorite species is probably the Norwegian Silverback. (I think that’s what it’s called.)
The book doesn’t really have a setting, so I’ll just say some of the habitats the beasts live in. The merpeople live, obviously, in the ocean, and the yeti/sasquatch live in snowy areas like Everest or greenland. I could talk about more but that would take forever.
I definitely recommend this book to William Mckay. He loves the hobbit, which is definitely in the fantasy genre. I’m also sure he would really like all the different beasts and magic and stuff. He would also like the fact that it is canon to Harry potter. I hope someone found this review helpful.

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them
The book I read was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander. The book was practically a guide to the magical beast of Harry Potter. This book is about the beast of Harry Potter and the foreword of the book describes what the book is about. It describes the danger level of several different beasts and where to find them, (Hence the title). This essay will describe the genre, the characters, and the setting.
The genre of this book is fictional fantasy. The reason I know this is because it describes the dangers of various different mythical creatures. For example, it talks about unicorns, centaurs, dragons, etc. This book is also based off of the Harry Potter series, which is a fictional fantasy series. That is the genre of this book.
This book did not have many characters. Although there are side notes written throughout the book. The characters only included Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. So that being said, my favorite character in this book was probably Ronald Weasley. The reason why is because he makes funny comments written in the book.
The setting of this book is Scotland. The reason I know this is because this book takes place during Harry Potter’s time in Hogwarts and Hogwarts is in Scotland. This book I’m pretty sure takes place throughout the years, 1994 and 1995. The reason for this is because Harry started Hagrid's class as a third year student and ended as a fourth year student. That is where and when this book takes place.
I would rate this book at a 4 out of 5 stars. The reason why is because at some parts, it bored me. I think the reason for this was because some of the creatures that the author explained were just plain boring. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Harry Potter and/or are interested in magical and mythical creatures. That was my explanation of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
